Interpretation: “Infinite”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” means Infinite Networks Pty Ltd (ACN 097 243 055). “You” or “Your” means any individual from whom We collect Personal Information.
This Privacy Policy explains how We collect, store, use and disclose Personal Information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (‘Privacy Act’) and the Australian Privacy Principles (‘APPs’). By using Our products or services, visiting https://www.infinite.net.au/ or giving Us Personal Information, You agree to the handling of Personal Information as set out in this Privacy Policy.
Definitions: “Personal Information” has the meaning given in the Privacy Act. References to the ‘US’ means the United States of America. We refer to certain third party providers who help operate Our products and services as service providers. where relevant this includes Our ‘Platform Provider’ for Infinite eXperience.
Whose Personal Information do We collect?
We may collect Your Personal Information from a range of sources, including from You, recruitment agencies, contractors, business partners and government agencies. For example, We may collect Your Personal Information when You request or acquire a product or service from Us, provide a service or product to Us, apply for employment with Us or communicate with Us via Our website, by email, telephone or in writing.
Wherever reasonable and practicable, We collect Personal Information directly from the individual. If You provide Personal Information about someone else, You confirm You have their authority to do so for the purpose supplied and that You have told them about this Privacy Policy and where to find it.

Why do We collect Personal Information?
We collect only the Personal Information that is reasonably necessary to provide and improve our products and services, operate our business, meet our legal obligations and, where you agree, to tell you about products and services that may be of interest. We provide clear privacy notices at or before collection (or as soon as practicable afterwards) that explain what We collect, why, where it will be stored or processed (including any overseas locations) and to whom it may be disclosed. For Infinite eXperience, We also provide service specific notices within the app when you turn on particular features (for example, parental controls). We retain Personal Information only for as long as needed for these purposes or as required by law, after which We take steps to delete or deidentify it (see Retention below). If You choose not to provide certain Personal Information, We may not be able to supply the requested product or service or otherwise engage with You.
Infinite may also collect Personal Information about You in accordance with Our obligations under the data retention provisions of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 (Cth).
Infinite eXperience is our managed home Wi-Fi service delivered with assistance from our Platform Provider in the US. If you enable parental controls or security features, the service processes configuration information and enforcement or alert events so those features work as intended. On our current configuration, Infinite eXperience operates at a domain or category level and does not inspect or store the content of pages You visit. Enforcement history and alerts generated by parental controls are visible only to the account owner.
The Infinite eXperience App Privacy Policy (available in the app store listings and on our website) and just-in-time notices within the app explain the data used by specific features and provide links to this Privacy Policy for further details.
How do We deal with unsolicited Personal Information?
If We receive Personal Information about You that We have not requested, and We determine that We could not have lawfully collected that information under the APPs had We asked for it, We will destroy or deidentify the information if it is lawful and reasonable to do so.
Do You have to disclose Your identity when dealing with Us?
Where lawful and practicable, We will give You the option of interacting with Us anonymously or using a pseudonym. If You choose to remain anonymous or to use a pseudonym, We may not be able to provide some products or services.
How do We use and disclose Personal Information?
We use and disclose Personal Information for the purposes described in our notices and in this Privacy Policy, including to deliver and support our services (such as provisioning, network quality, parental controls you enable, security features and customer support). If We disclose Personal Information to a related body corporate, We will take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the APPs, and We remain accountable for that handling where required by the Privacy Act.
As a carriage service provider, We may be required to retain certain telecommunications data for two years under Part 5-1A of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 (Cth) and to respond to valid requests from authorised agencies. Where these obligations apply, We retain only the data prescribed, for no longer than required, and maintain controls to ensure lawful access and disclosure.
We do not use Infinite eXperience app data for advertising technology or cross-app targeted advertising. If We use Your Personal Information for direct marketing, We will do so in compliance with APP 7, provide a simple opt out, and will not direct marketing communications to children or sensitive segments. You may opt out at any time (for example, by using the unsubscribe link in emails or contacting Us).
Where we rely on your consent to process Personal Information (for example, when you enable optional features), you may withdraw that consent at any time through the app or by contacting us.
Overseas disclosure and hosting
Some Personal Information is hosted or processed outside Australia by our trusted service providers who act on our behalf. In particular, the Infinite eXperience service is delivered with the assistance of a Platform Provider located in the US.
Where We disclose Personal Information to an overseas service provider, We take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient will handle that information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, and We remain accountable for that handling under section 16C of the Privacy Act. We may also engage a small number of other service providers to support operations (for example, analytics or customer support tools). We maintain processes to verify any lawful requests, record Our responses and ensure access and disclosure are handled appropriately.
The principal country where Personal Information is currently processed for Infinite eXperience is the US. If our data hosting locations materially change, We will update this Privacy Policy.
How is my Personal Information kept secure?
We take reasonable steps to protect Personal Information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Measures include access controls (including multi factor authentication (‘MFA’) where appropriate), encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging, secure development and testing practices, and contractual obligations with our service providers.
We maintain a Data Breach Response Plan. If a data breach occurs, We will assess it promptly. Where the breach is likely to result in serious harm, We will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (‘OAIC’) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Cookies and online analytics
Our websites and apps may use cookies and similar technologies to operate, remember your preferences and understand how services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We use analytics to improve performance and features. We do not use advertising technology tools in Infinite eXperience.
Retention
We keep Personal Information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. In general:
When Personal Information is no longer required, We take reasonable steps to delete or deidentify it, subject to legal requirements.
Data quality
We take reasonable steps to ensure that Your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up to date. However, We rely on You to advise Us of any changes or corrections to the information We hold about You. If You consider that the information We hold about You is not accurate, complete or up to date, or if Your information has changed, please let Us know as soon as possible.
Access: You may request access to the Personal Information We hold about You by contacting Us. We will aim to respond within 30 days. We will provide You with access to the information We hold about You unless otherwise permitted or required by law. If We deny You access to the information, We will notify You of the basis for the denial unless an exception applies. Where reasonable and practicable, We will provide access to the information We hold about You in the manner You request. No fee applies for requesting access to information We hold about You. However, We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee where We do provide access.
Correction: If You believe Personal Information We hold about You is incorrect, incomplete or not current, You may request an update or correction by contacting Us. We aim to respond within 30 days. If We do not agree with Your requested correction (for example, because We consider the information is already accurate, up to date, complete, relevant and not misleading), We will provide You with a written notice setting out Our reasons and how You may make a complaint.
Identifiers: We do not adopt, use or disclose government related identifiers except as required or permitted by law.
Complaints
If You have a question or a complaint about how We handle Personal Information, please contact our Privacy Officer using the details below and provide any relevant information. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days. We will review all complaints received and Our Privacy Officer will respond to You. If You are not satisfied with Our response, You may discuss Your concerns with or complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au, or 1300 363 992.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date appears at the start of this Privacy Policy, and significant changes will be highlighted on Our website. Your continued use of Our website, products or services, requesting Our assistance, or the provision of further Personal Information to Us after this Privacy Policy has been revised, constitutes Your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
